Data used by the app
PromoLimiter uses your shop domain, Shopify authorization credentials and merchant session information to authenticate the embedded app. Session information may include the merchant’s name, email, language and Shopify user ID. This data is stored in the app’s server-side database. Discount settings and eligibility rules are stored on your discount records in Shopify.
Catalog and checkout
The app reads catalog information when you select variants and reads discount records to display and manage your codes. At checkout, Shopify executes the eligibility Function using cart lines and the configured variant metafields. PromoLimiter does not store shopper profiles, payment information or checkout cart contents in its database. Shopify handles code usage limits and once-per-customer eligibility.
Removal and infrastructure
Merchant sessions are removed when Shopify notifies the app of an uninstall or shop redaction. Discount records remain subject to Shopify’s own retention and app-uninstall behavior. The app is hosted on the operator’s Dokploy infrastructure and uses Shopify for authorization and discount execution. Operational server logs may contain request and error information. No advertising or analytics tracker is included by the app.
Questions
During pre-release testing, contact the app administrator who provided your installation. A public support contact and the operator’s complete privacy policy must be supplied before App Store submission.
